I've been away.
I have, in consequence, been unresponsive.
Things I should have done - I haven't.
When you see where I've been - you'll understand.
It rained all the time!
Rain is why the countryside is lush and full of waterfalls.
Rain is why this is the only picture I have to show you.
One can't complain.
My laptop is going slow.
It's been going slower and slower.
It needs to go back to factory settings.
I may be gone for a few more days.
(And I need to catch up with the washing!)

This brought back childhood memories of lying on the mountain tops in the Brecon Beacons just listening to the silence - sorry you didn't see it in the sunshine xx
Hello Looking for Blue Sky - who finds it despite everything! I stayed by a small but rushing river. There was never silence there - unbroken sound of water. I don't desperately mind not seeing the hills in sunshine. They were beautiful in rain. (It sunned for lunch in Brecon town.)
My memories of the Brecon Beacons (from Army days) are also of rain - and tiredness, and sore feet!
Morning Mark. Because I was away for a short time, I never got round to walking 'properly' so I've come back tired from travelling, not from exercise. Hopefully you have good memories alongside those of rain, exhaustion and sore feet and, I imagine, of battling through bracken.
Well the one photo was worth it, looks beautiful!
The sounds of rushing water is lovely too :)
It looks like a lovely place to be, I have not been on for a few weeks too.. I think most people are finding August a quite month ( a little all natured out !) needed time away.. back now with a post on the "patch of land" so take a look when you get back and sorted.

Looks gorgeous Lucy - good to get away from all things electronic for a few days !
Hello Gill. The photo sort of sums it up. It's incredible. Missing from the picture though are the cliff-like faces of some hills and the steep bowl shapes in others - massive! (And the waterfalls . . . and the teashop in Brecon and . . . )
Looking for Blue Sky. Agreed about the water. I was wondering though how I'd feel about it if I lived somewhere where the sound never, ever stops. (It was quite loud!)
Hello Amanda. Hope you are feeling refreshed. Have to back-up a load of stuff before restoring the computer. Trying to resist doing other things before that's done. So what on earth am I doing writing even short posts and chatting to commenters? I don't know!
Hi Jane. I was away from the computer but not my Kindle!
Nice photos. Jack
Ah, Lucy ... a view we know well in wind, rain and snow from our 20 years in Swansea! So glad the sun peeped out for you in Brecon (and, I guess, that the waterfalls were still wet).
Can't wait to see where you've been.
Ah, that's MY country!
Wonderful place - but sorry about the weather!
Looking forward to your future postings :)
It's a shame that you didn't have better weather. Flighty xx
oh how I love this place and your 1 photo says it all. Hope you can clear out the computer clogs before too long - so frustrating
A beautiful part of the world Lucy wet or dry which your photo reflects. I think that it has mainly rained when we've been there. Hope that you had a great time and that your computer is soon sorted.
