Absent but happily not missing.
I'm having an unusual number of being-away-from-homes at present. Hence lack of posts. Hence a bald introduction to this month's Tree Following. A box and little more.
Hence a confession too; I'm thinking of changing my tree to one nearer where I live. I'd thought choosing one in an interesting location would make it extra interesting to visit. Instead it means I never have time to visit it at all!
And now for the box I'm bunging in in passing.
Be back soon!
Be back soon!
Life can be hectic, can't it?! Thanks for hosting anyway :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you still take the time to host this meme - such a pleasure :)
ReplyDeleteSince becoming a Grandma, my garden has taken a back seat and I seem to be playing catch up all the time at the moment. Thanks for taking time out from your busy schedule for us.
ReplyDeleteWe're having lots of away time too - I hope yours are for nicer events. Happily the ash tree continues to regenerate...
ReplyDeleteLife is much too busy, Lucy. With a house full of children and grandchildren, I retreated to a quiet corner to write this blog post. Thank goodness for quiet corners!
ReplyDeleteLovely red fruit now on the tree, Yes fitting everything in is just so tricky! I can't believe its August already...
ReplyDeleteI've just posted Liz's Stewartia Tree Following post, and will be doing my own Fig Tree one later in the week. Flighty xx
ReplyDeleteI deliberately chose 2 trees that I can walk to, or drive to if need takes. Life is busy and I appreciate you organising this - I hope you get time to visit your tree soon.
ReplyDeleteDelighted to share my Paulownia tomentosa again this month. Thanks for the opportunity. I look forward to visiting the other followed trees.
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy your being-away-from-homes but come back soon :)
Thanks for hosting this, Lucy -- even when you are so busy. -Jean
ReplyDeleteThis month my tree following post is just images as there is nothing much new to say
ReplyDeletethanks for hosting Lucy - following the shock news (of pollarding) in April my tree's fighting back :)
ReplyDeleteAre there any birch tree experts out here? I'm trying to nail down the species of birch. I think it's a River birch, but River Birches are native to the southeast. This birch is growing in the northwest, but it could have been transplanted from a nursery.
ReplyDeleteI am too late, but hey ho. Like you, I think next year's tree will have to be closer. Mine's not exactly a million miles away but it does mean a short drive or a long walk, and sometimes that's not so easy. I should be more determined!
